Why buy on ideyna?

When you buy on ideyna, you are guaranteed unique handcrafted items that you are unlikely to find in shopping malls. Most items are one of a kind created by wonderfully talented people.

 

You are buying directly from the hundreds of artisans that make up the handcrafting community in the UAE, so you are supporting innovative and creative entrepreneurs in the country.

 

We hope you will join us in celebrating and helping sustain what we like to call ‘the independent creative spirit’ by shopping on ideyna.

 

How to buy on ideyna?

To buy something on ideyna, select Add to cart on the item page and it will be added to your shopping cart which is displayed at the top left of each page.

 

Items will stay in your cart until you remove them or checkout.

 

To buy something, you need to register with us. Registering with us will also let you set up a profile, rate items, leave feedback and be part of the community.  We have a lot of things planned for our growing ideyna community and we’d love to have you on board.

 

How do I pay for an item?

We currently have 3 options for payment on ideyna. Credit/Debit card, PayPal and Cash on delivery. 

 

All Credit/Debit card transactions are processed via a secure third party payment gateway system. At no time is your credit card information stored on our servers. Your personal and credit card details are protected at all times. Final amounts with appear in USD.

 

If you have a PayPal account, you can choose to pay via that. Final amounts will appear in USD.

 

We also have a Cash on Delivery option available within the UAE. However, a flat fee of AED 10 will be added to the shipping charge of your order per store. Cash on Delivery buyers can expect a call from us to confirm orders.

 

When do I receive my purchases?

When you buy an item on ideyna, the maker of that item is notified to keep your item ready. We pick it up and it begins its journey to you. 


When purchased locally (Within UAE), items will ship in 5-7 working days if not sooner. For international orders, please allow 7-14 working days. Please read item descriptions carefully for any time bound conditions set by the creator of the item in special cases (Sometimes a seller may craft the item for you upon purchase, in this instance they will mention how much time they need before your purchase is shipped to you). 

 

To avoid delays, please make sure you provide a working contact number and accurate address to speed up the delivery process.

 

What can I do after I receive my items?

We want to build a community of likeminded buyers and sellers of beautiful handcrafted objects. Once you receive your item, we would love it if you could take the time to review the item and leave feedback about the seller.  We encourage you to tell us what you liked or didn’t like about the item. This will help other buyers make purchasing decisions too.

 

Leaving reviews and feedback will also build your own rating, making you eligible for select perks as our community grows.

 

What if I receive the wrong item?

Our sellers are very proud of the items they create and sell. And every effort is made to deliver the right item to you, but sometimes mistakes do happen. If you receive the wrong item, please email support@ideyna.com with the subject line ‘wrong item received’ within 3 days of receiving the item. We will get on it right away and make sure you receive exactly what you purchased.

 

Can I receive a refund if I don’t like my item?

We do not offer any refunds. We recommend you read product descriptions carefully before purchasing. Most products are one of a kind made by talented artisans who put a lot of hard work and passion into their creations and we are certain that you will love what you buy.

 

I received an item that was broken. What should I do?

Our sellers make every effort to ensure that your item is packaged appropriately so that it reaches you safe and sound. In the rare case that you do receive a broken item, please inform us immediately at support@ideyna.com with the subject line ‘broken item received’ within 48 hours days of receiving the item. We will investigate and try our best to ensure you receive a replacement. If the same product is not available, you will get store credit for the amount spent (cost of item and paid shipping) and you are free to buy something else on ideyna. To prevent misuse of this policy, we are afraid we can’t consider any complaints about broken items received more than 2 days after delivery.

 

I don’t live in the United Arab Emirates; can I still buy from ideyna?

While our artisans are based in the UAE, our buyers are from around the world. So, yes, you could be living anywhere and still be able to purchase from our site. Shipping charges will be calculated according to your location and you will receive your item within 7-14 days unless otherwise informed. Please note that any custom duties or similar taxes that might incur will be borne by you.

 

I saw an item that I want, but I’d like it in a different color OR I don’t see my size for a dress I like, what can I do?

On ideyna, you can get in touch with a seller and just ask. Ask them if they might make an item for you in the color you want. Or ask if they have the piece of clothing in your size. Our crafters and makers are more than happy to answer any questions you have and many offer customization of their item the way you want it.

 

Contact a seller via ideyna by clicking on ASK ABOUT THIS ITEM on the item page or go into your ideyna mail and compose a message addressed to their usernames.

 

I have difficulties using the website, what should I do?
